10 Things I'm Obsessed With Friday

Well, it’s been almost exactly 2 years since I wrote my first post like this and I’m embarrassed to say I had every intention of doing it monthly and well, it never happened! Sometimes life just gets the best of us, you know?

So, I’m back and I’m more than excited to continue this series. As I mentioned in my previous post, these have always been my favorite types of blog posts from other bloggers because you can find some really cool recommendations. And honestly, I just love sharing my obsession with the world because they make me happy and I want them to possibly do the same for you.

Basically I’ll be sharing with you my latest foodie, self-care, spiritual, health, wellness, and maybe a little random obsessions in hopes to inspire you to try them or just learn something new!

Here it goes!

10 Things I'm Obsessed With Friday

  1. A book I’m currently loving is The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra. I’ve read it in the past, but kind of forgot about it. It’s basically a guide to live your best life and manifest all of your dreams.  I highly recommend you check it out if you haven’t yet!

  2. I recently watched Brene Brown: The Call to Courage on Netflix and it’s definitely a must watch. I love all of her books and she’s pretty entertaining to watch and listen to. If you need a little inspiration to live a little more courageously then add this to your watch list ASAP.

  3. Speaking of Netflix, please tell me you are watching the second season of The OA. This show is all kinds of confusing, suspenseful, thought provoking, and magical. It’s one of those shows that you can’t really begin to explain, but it is a MUST see. If you haven’t started it yet, save yourself a few hours to go binge watch it so we can discuss all the craziness that this show is!

  4. Okay switching gears. If you’re into natural, non-toxic skin care at all I’ve finally found the best, most amazing cleanser and moisturizer. The company is Osea and they are certified organic, vegan and they use bioavailable seaweed with infused essential oils in their products. So not only do these products work amazingly, but they smell so good too! They also have a ton of serums and oils that I’m dying to try. It’s definitely a little on the pricey side, but everything lasts a really long time and trust me, it’s totally worth it!

  5. Traveling. I recently got back from getting married in Aruba and let me tell you, my love for traveling just continues to grow and grow. A month before I also travelled with my kids to Florida to visit my Grandmother and I don’t even that little trip was magical. There’s just something about getting on a plane to go somewhere new or different that really puts life into perspective. It gives me so much inspiration to see and meet new people and visit new places. It also makes me appreciate things about the comfort of my home and family that I don’t think I’d otherwise notice as much. So yeah, I’m obsessed and I just keep dreaming of all of the places I want to go. A few places high on my list: Hawaii, Italy, Bali, Thailand, Australia, Greece. Do you love traveling as much as I do? Any must see places I should visit?

  6. This Life-Changing Bread recipe by My New Roots. I remember reading this blog years ago and wanting to make this bread and for some reason I just never got around to it. I think it was because one of the ingredients is Psyllium husks which can be harder to find, but thanks to amazon I got it delivered in 2 days along with my silicon loaf pan and I was good to go. And if you’re wondering why it’s so “life-changing” it’s because it’s 1. SUPER duper quick and easy to make, 2. Full of whole grains, seeds and nuts which means LOTS of protein and fiber, 3. It’s DELICIOUS, healthy + bread = so yeah, that’s pretty life-changing to me.

  7. Nature. Lately, I’ve really been falling back in love with nature. I say back in love, because I think as a kid I probably naturally loved nature more, but over the years I feel like I’ve kind of taken it for granted. I’ve just started to notice how much happier and more peaceful I feel when I’m outside and connecting to nature on a daily basis. I love going for walks in the forest, mini hikes, or just sitting by the ocean and watching a sunset. It really is like medicine for the soul. So if you don’t already do it, try to make it a point to get outside each and every day and watch how it magically shifts your mood.

  8. So something else that has radically changed my life has been reprogramming my subconscious mind. I know it may sound a little weird, but it is honestly as life-changing as that bread recipe (Haha okay, maybe more than the bread). I’ve been doing some of Lacy Phillips manifestation workshops and daily reprogramming exercises for a few months now and I have already manifested some pretty cool things. A few things I’ve manifested lately: my perfect tropical dream wedding, gorgeous wedding dress, quitting my soul sucking job, iMac, and having so many more hours to work on my health coaching business. Basically, you need to start reprogramming your subconscious beliefs through Lacy’s guided visualizations to raise your self-worth so you can manifest your true desires. I still have a lot of work to do, but I’m already feeling so much better and completely feel like I know I’m on the right path.

  9. As for a little randomness, I’ve finally started using Google Photos as a way to back-up all of my iPhone photos and organize them. Perhaps I’m a little late to the game, but I’ve cleared up so much storage space on my phone and finally feel like I have a pretty organized photo system. Kind of makes me feel like I’ve got my shit together, ya know? If you’re anything like me you may have 1000’s of photos stored on your iPhone doing absolutely nothing, but taking up storage space. Now I plan to actually get some printed and maybe even put a few in some frames. I know, what a concept, right?

  10. This blog and writing. Since starting this blog, I’ve had a hard time being consistent with it. I’ve let life and business get in the way and just haven’t really prioritized it. But this week, I’ve posted a blog every day and  IT. FEELS. AMAZING. Not only do I feel like I’m accomplishing things (and that’s always a good feeling), but I feel like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be, doing what I’m meant to be doing, and sharing what I’m meant to be sharing. So yeah, it’s freaking amazing and if you have something you *wish* you were doing or that you *dream* of doing, I highly suggest you get on that. It doesn’t matter what it is, but if it’s on your heart than you are meant to be doing it. Even if it’s not perfect or exactly how you imagined, take one little action step each day and watch how it transforms you.

Let me know if you try out any of the above and please share any of your current obsessions with me! I’d love to learn more about you and add things to add to my list :) Happy Friday!
